The Virginia Skyline Girl Scouts summer camp season will return in 2027. Below are our camps from Summer 2026.
There’s a camp and outdoors experience for every Girl Scout—from stargazing and discovering wildlife to rock-wall climbing and archery. Whichever adventure they choose, they'll return home with a lifetime of memories—and more courage, confidence, and character than ever.
Camp builds problem-solvers! Girls with more frequent outdoor experiences are more likely to seek challenges and are better at solving problems—qualities that will help them embark on a lifetime of leadership, both academically and personally.
Camp exposes girls to new experiences! Of girls surveyed, 72% said that Girl Scouts gave them the chance to build their skills or try new outdoor activities.
Camp builds courage and confidence! Spending time in nature improves a girl’s concentration and creative reasoning. Outdoor experiences also help promote healthy social development and increase her self-esteem.
Girl Scout Summer Camps
Camp Adventurers | Blue Ridge Scout Reservation, Hiwassee 
Get outside with Camp Adventurers! Camp Adventurers is an older girl weekend camp open to girls ages 11-18. This camp offers older girls the opportunity to attend camp, not work at camp. Friday night, Girl Scouts will set up their sleep spaces, have a flag ceremony, eat supper, and participate in a camp wide activity. Saturday, we’ll start with a flag ceremony and breakfast. After making bagged lunches, campers will spend their Saturday participating in an adventure activity with their patrols.
Camp Firefly | Camp Sacajawea, Lynchburg
Camp Firefly is a magical sleepaway camp where adventure, friendship, and nature come together! Nestled among the trees at Girl Scout Camp Sacajawea, Camp Firefly offers girls the chance to build confidence, explore the outdoors, and create lifelong memories. From canoeing & hiking to arts & crafts to campfire songs & s'mores, every day is packed with fun and discovery. Campers have the chance to sleep in cabins or platform tents with three other Girl Scouts. Earn the very first Camp Firefly fun patch, your summer camp progression patch (showing your new outdoor skills) and a Juneteenth fun patch at our all-camp celebration!
Campfire Sisters Weekend Camp | Linville-Edom Ruritan Club, Linville
Ready to whisk up a culinary adventure? From the kitchen to the great outdoors, you will be challenged to create gourmet masterpieces while training to become a Top Girl Scout Chef! Join us for a fun-filled weekend of sharpening your culinary skills, cooking competitions, and making new friends.
Cave Hill Day Camp | Grand Caverns, Grottoes
Join us at Cave Hill Day Camp for Camp Wizardry! Transform WANDS with Professor McGonagill. PAINT nature with Professor Sprout. Create STAR crafts with Professor Sinistra. Create CAMPING potions with Professor Slughorn. HIKE through Hagrid's forest to find OWLS and MAGICAL creatures. Plus enjoy the swimming pool, games, one day of camping overnight, SWAPS, have fun with your old friends and making new friendships!
Dark Hollow Day Camp | Camp Icimani, Roanoke
Dark Hollow Day Camp is a summer camp located at Girl Scout Camp Icimani in Roanoke. Campers attend a one-week day camp session. Girls experience crafts, games, camp songs, hikes, creek walks, cooking, and making new friends. Girls will earn a camp patch and most units earn a badge. But most importantly, girls will make new friends, learn how to live in nature, become stronger, learn teamwork, and more surprises! For rising 7-9th grade girls, we offer Adventure Caravan. A older girl camp unit that travels offsite for caving, canoeing, camping, hiking, etc. on all but one camp day.
Rainbow's End Girl Scout Camp | Newport Ruritan Park, Newport
This summer, campers will learn old camp traditions as well as create new ones in our new location! Get outside and get adventurous with hiking, camping, archery, and outdoor adventure! Camp includes Girl Scout traditions such as sing-alongs, campfires, and s’mores. Cook outside, practice archery, make crafts, camp in tents, identify poison ivy, play outside, and earn badges.

Singing Cedars Day Camp | Hillandale Park, Harrisonburg
Singing Cedars is a summer day camp for girls from 1st grades to 12th grades located at Hillandale Park in Harrisonburg. Each year the camp celebrates with a fun theme.
Sugar Hollow Day Camp | Camp Sugar Hollow, Crozet
Sugar Hollow Day Camp is a camp located in Crozet, Virginia, with year round events. Our summer camp traditions include wading in the creek, enjoying nature, tie-dyeing camp t-shirts, hiking our beautiful hills, singing around the campfire, and learning outdoor skills as we make new friends at camp. Onsite activities will include archery for girls going into grades 4th through 7th. In addition, the rising 7th grade Cadette Unit may have one day of off-site activity, such as kayaking.
