We’re celebrating 100 years of World Thinking Day in 2026—what an exciting birthday! This year’s special theme is Our Friendship. We invite you to join in as we explore our worldwide Girl Scout/Girl Guide community and celebrate the friendships that connect us all around the globe.
World Thinking Day has become a day for Girl Scouts and Girl Guides all over the world to think about one another. Each year on February 22, girls participate in activities and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries. It is a special day in the Girl Scout year when we remember we are part of a worldwide movement through the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). Celebrated since 1926, World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship, speaking out on issues that affect girls and young women, and fundraising for 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world.
