Our camp has called Sugar Hollow home since 1959. Since then, thousands of girls have grown up at our camp. We believe in fostering growth, independence, and leadership through outdoor adventures. We learn how to respect nature and love scouting by building skills in health & safety, camp songs, tie-dye, knots, tools, fire building, and outdoor cooking. Our rising fourth graders and up learn archery, and our rising seventh graders learn how to kayak. Girl Scouts in rising first grade through rising seventh grade are campers. Girls are grouped in units according to their rising grade level. Each camper will earn a patch from the GSVSC summer camp progression program and a badge specific to each year’s camp theme.
FRIENDSHIP AROUND THE WORLD
Sugar Hollow Day Camp 2026 celebrates friendships across the globe
by learning about our Girl Scout sisters around the world! We'll
explore different Girl Scout and Girl Guide traditions, camping and
outdoor cooking styles, and games.
Sugar Hollow
traditions will continue: We will wade in the creek, enjoy
nature, tie-dye camp shirts, hike our beautiful hills, sing around the
campfire, and learn outdoor skills as we make new friends at camp.
On-site activities will include archery for girls going into grades 4
through 7. In addition, the rising 7th grade Cadette unit may have one
day of off-site activity, such as kayaking.
