Scribbles and Sketches is a creative literary and arts magazine celebrating the original writing and artwork of Girl Scouts across the Virginia Skyline Council. Submissions are open to all Girl Scout girls (Daisies to Ambassadors) and troop or Juliette status.
Theme: Explore More! From the tiniest bug in the backyard to the farthest galaxy in space, and everything in between, Girl Scouts are always looking for more! For our first issue, show us what "Exploring More" means to you. You could write a story about a whole new world, or draw a picture of a new culinary dish you tried - the possibilities are endless.

Cost: Free
Min/Max Girls: One submission per girl member, but girls may submit multiple types of writing and/or artwork.
Patch/Badge Included?: A decal will be sent to all girls who submit work to Scribbles and Sketches. Girls accepted for publication will receive a patch.
Registration Closes: Deadline to submit writing and artwork is August 1, 2026 by 11:59PM EST
