Junior Jam is a RAIN OR SHINE event. This is a camporee for Junior Girl Scouts only (troops and individuals; there is a unit for individual girls). This event is weekend long; no Saturday-only attendees.
Leaders will need to plan ahead to make sure they have adults with all training needed (Outdoor Ed, First Aid, etc.). Leaders and adults attending with girls will be expected to help during the workshops. All leaders/adults in attendance MUST be a registered Girl Scout member and have an approved background check prior to the event. Troops will need to complete a Trip Permission (#2129) by April 17 (four weeks before the event).
There will be a Juliette Patrol (8 girls, 2 adults) that individually registered Girl Scouts (IRGs) can register under. The Juliette Patrol leaders are Lou Armentrout and Kathy Foster (from the VA Skyline Adventurers). If a parent wants to attend with a Juliette, then she/he must register as a parent/daughter and not with the Juliettes Patrol nor a troop. The parent would attend the workshops with her/his Juliette daughter. If a parent is attending with her/his Juliette daughter, the parent must also have all council training required for camping.
