Celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America by
exploring the early settlements of America = Jamestown. The group will
spend Saturday touring the
Jamestown Settlement
and Sunday exploring
Historic Jamestowne
(original site). Lodging will be in bunk beds in a
heated/air-conditioned building with bathrooms and showers at
Girl
Scout Camp Skimino
in Williamsburg. Participants will prepare all of their meals.
Transportation pick-up points will be along the I-81 corridor from
Roanoke north to Staunton and then east along I-64.
NOTE:
This trip is one of a 3-part travel series exploring historical sites
in Virginia for the USA's 250th birthday! Next two are Williamsburg
and Yorktown.

first pickup in Roanoke at 3:30 PM; departing from Williamsburg at 2:00
PM with last drop-off in Roanoke at 6:30 PM.

Adventurers Scholarship
Through the generosity of donors, a scholarship fund has been
established in honor of our group’s founder, Barbara Duerk, to help
girls participate in Adventurers activities. Requests may not be more
than $100/year, and each application will be considered on a case by
case basis.

ABOUT THE ADVENTURERS HERE
Adventurers is an action-oriented group of older Girl Scouts who are
seeking exciting activities to challenge their capabilities, broaden
their horizons, and increase their self-confidence. It is for girls ages
11-17 and in grades 6-12. Members often participate in rock climbing,
