Girl Scouts raise start-up money for their troop and earn cool patches and other recognitions too! You can participate by taking orders in-person from customers via your order card and/or through the online program by sending email invites to your customers. The program is for all grade-levels (Daisies-Ambassadors) and can be done within a troop or as an individual Girl Scout. Participating in a council-sponsored product program teaches essential skills including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
IMPORTANT DATES
August/September: Troop Parent/Caregiver Training by the troop fall product program manager; required if your Girl Scout is going to participate in the Fall Product Program.
Sept. 25: Invitation from M2 to setup the online girls site.
Sept. 25: first day for order card customer orders (please do not take orders prior to this date).
Oct. 17: troops can begin adding order card quantities to the girls in the system.
Oct. 20: Troop-opt out forms are due to council: productsale@gsvsc.org
Oct. 26: last day for order card and "girl-delivered" online orders to be entered into M2 (please contact your troop fall product program manager to coordinate).
Oct. 26: last day for shipped & donation online orders.
Nov. 5: final day for troops/parents to enter a t-shirt size for the girls in M2 system (for the girls who earned that award).
Nov. 11-12: delivery dates for fall products (for order cards and "girl-delivered" online orders); check with your troop fall product program manager for instructions.
Nov. 11: delivery to the following service units = Charlottesville/Albemarle Co., Culpeper Co., Fluvanna Co., Greene Co., Highland Co., Louisa Co., Madison Co., Nelson Co., Orange Co., Rappahannock Co., Rockburg, SAW
Nov. 12: delivery to the following service units = Alleghany Co./Bath Co., Bedford Co., Botetourt Co./Craig Co., Danville/Pittsylvania Co./Halifax Co., Galax/Carroll Co./Grayson Co., Franklin Co./Roanoke Valley (HQ/Camp Icimani), Lynchburg/Campbell Co./Charlotte Co./Appomattox Co./Amherst Co., Martinsville/Henry Co., Patrick Co., Radford/Montgomery Co./Pulaski Co./Giles Co./Wythe Co., and Lexington/Rockbridge Co.
Nov. 30: all orders delivered to customers
Nov/Dec. Date: Final payment due from family to the troop for products ordered (date determined by troop fall product program manager)
Dec. 3: Final payment to the council
