Join us August 1-2, 2026, for a garden-to-table Girl Scout experience that blends creativity, camping, and community impact! This overnight program invites Girl Scouts and volunteers to explore outdoor food preparation while supporting take-action projects that benefit a local food bank.
Activities include outdoor cooking, container gardening, canning and preserving, and meal planning and budgeting. Girls will make refrigerator pickles, plant herbs in their own take-home container gardens, and learn about the importance of nutrition and food access in their own communities all while camping under the summer stars! Girl Scouts will earn their New Cuisines badge (Cadettes), Locavore badge (Seniors) or the Dinner Party badge (Ambassadors) by completing this overnight program.
There is a required 1-hour meal planning Zoom meeting on July 15th from 6:30-7:30pm for all participants. Zoom information will be sent out after registration closes.
Girls can also take part in the Exploremore Virginia Passport program by completing activities and experiences centered around art, food, and Virginia history.
