Camp Firefly is a magical sleepaway camp where adventure, friendship, and nature come together! Nestled among the trees at Girl Scout Camp Sacajawea, Camp Firefly offers girls the chance to build confidence, explore the outdoors, and create lifelong memories. From canoeing & hiking to arts & crafts to campfire songs & s'mores, every day is packed with fun and discovery. Campers have the chance to sleep in cabins or platform tents with three other Girl Scouts. Earn the very first Camp Firefly fun patch, your summer camp progression patch (showing your new outdoor skills) and a Juneteenth fun patch at our all-camp celebration! There are two options for Camp Firefly 2026: overnight or day camp. Girl Scouts in rising 2nd-12th grades can attend overnight camp. Girl Scouts in rising 1st & 2nd grades can attend day camp.
Overnight Camp
Who: Rising 2nd - 12th graders
Date: June 14-19
Times:
- Drop-off 10:00 AM on June 14 for CITs and CPAs
- Drop-off 2:00 PM on June 14 for sleepaway campers
- Pick-up 3:00 PM on June 19 for everyone
COST: $550
Location: Girl Scout Camp Sacajawea, Lynchburg
Early Bird Registration Discount: 10% off if you register before February 28
Min/Max Girls: 35/60

Late Arrivals: Girl Scouts participating in the String of Pearls event on June 14 will have the option to arrive at Camp Firefly after dinner between 6:45-7:15 PM and still make it in time for our opening campfire. Please contact the camp directors at campfireflygsvsc@gmail.com if you plan to arrive late.
Day Camp
Who: Rising 1st & 2nd graders
Date: June 15-19
Time: 8:30 AM- 4:15 PM
Cost: $300

Summer Camp Financial Assistance
Girl Scouts of
Virginia Skyline Council awards financial assistance in increments
of 25%, 50%, and 75% of the summer camp registration fee; for one
summer camp session per year, per camper. It is the responsibility
of the caregiver to ensure the remaining camp registration fees are
PAID IN FULL by the camp registration close date. The camper must
first register for her summer camp of choice and pay the required
$10 deposit before submitting this application. MORE
