Join the Adventurers for a tour of the Alpacas of Smith Mountain Lake
Farm. From fiber to fashion, this farm is one of the ONLY alpaca farms
in the US that does it all: Pendleton blankets, pillows, fashion
design, education, and home of Alpaca Royalty. Our guided, interactive
tour will teach science, history and everything alpaca. Our group will
feed, hug, snuggle and hold alpacas! This famous farm is home to over
60 alpacas. After the tour, we'll visit the gift shop.

Adventurers Scholarship
Through the generosity of donors, a scholarship fund has been
established in honor of our group’s founder, Barbara Duerk, to help
girls participate in Adventurers activities. Requests may not be more
than $100/year, and each application will be considered on a
case-by-case basis. Details,
criteria and application for this scholarship fund can be found
here. Please submit scholarship applications one week before the
program's registration close date. Have questions? Reach out to this
program's coordinator listed here or directly to The Adventurers: adventurers1912@gmail.com
