The campout is a member-only event. Everyone attending the overnight must be a registered member and/or have a current background check.

Outdoor Education training is two-part, hybrid course that is required before troops or groups can cookout, campout, and adventure out which includes: packing gear, platform/cabinette/tent camping, building campfires, and cooking outdoors over a campfire, portable stove or grill for any daytime or overnight outdoor camping activity. To be Outdoor Education trained for Girl Scouts, volunteers must complete the entire Outdoor Education course which includes: GS 301A Outdoor Education Planning Session (online in gsLearn), online group meal planning assignment using Google Docs, needs assessment, resource search homework assignment, and the in-person GS 301B Outdoor Education Overnight Session, which includes one overnight campout and Girl Scout outdoor cooking methods.
REGISTERATION CLOSE DATE: AUGUST 21, 2025
Prerequisite: Complete 281 GS 301A Outdoor Education Planning online course in gsLearn by AUGUST 21, 2025. Every participant must complete GS 301A by the deadline in order for meal planning and patrol assignments to be conducted via Google Docs. Do not procrastinate or you will hold up assignments for others.

The Environmental Science Camporee is a hands-on, nature-focused overnight event designed to give Girl Scouts the opportunity to participate in and explore environmental science through nature based activities, outdoor skills, and STEM-based learning.
Training needed: GS 301a & GS 301b Outdoor Education, First Aid/CPR/AED, GS 201 Trips and Overnights, GS 102 Finance Training, GS 104, Driver Pledge
One adult per troop must have completed the above training by the registration deadline of August 24, 2025.
Trip Permission forms and Health History forms must be completed.

GS 302A Backpacking Planning and GS 302B Backpacking Overnight (All-in-one Weekend)

Backpacking Training is required before volunteers take a group of Junior Girl Scouts girls or older on a backpacking trip. The combined courses will cover the knowledge and skills necessary to make important decisions about gear, clothing, overnight hike planning, and outdoor safety. The objective is for participants to gain firsthand knowledge of equipment and how to use it properly in preparation for overnight backpacking in the wilderness so they may hit the trail feeling confident and self-sufficient.
Participants must complete both GS 302A Backpacking planning and GS 302Backpacking overnight by staying for the entire weekend from Friday to Sunday and participate in all training activities. Participants must be registered in gsEvents in order to attend this course.
Membership Required
Outdoor Education is required.
Trip Permission forms and Health History forms must be completed.
