Get up close and personal with the wild animal ambassadors at the
Virginia Wildlife Center. The tour includes a quick trip through the
wildlife center itself (a state-of-the-art hospital for native
wildlife), a meet and greet with their
Animal Ambassadors
(bald eagle, hawk, opossum, snake, turtle), and Q&A with their
handlers.

Adventurers Scholarship
Through the generosity of donors, a scholarship fund has been
established in honor of our group’s founder, Barbara Duerk, to help
girls participate in Adventurers activities. Requests may not be more
than $100/year, and each application will be considered on a case by
case basis.

ABOUT THE ADVENTURERS HERE
Adventurers is an action-oriented group of older Girl Scouts who are
seeking exciting activities to challenge their capabilities, broaden
their horizons, and increase their self-confidence. It is for girls ages
11-17 and in grades 6-12. Members often participate in rock climbing,
