Participants will learn about cave formation, preservation, exploration, and ecology on a 4-hour wild caving tour of Glade Cave in Augusta County, VA. Participants will be provided: helmets with lights and batteries, coveralls, back-up lights, and candles.

Girls' Ages:  Juniors - Ambassadors (11-18 years old)

Badge/Patch Included?:  no; girls may purchase additional Adventurers merchandise (patch, decal, bandanna, t-shirts); details listed on the event registration.

Adventurers Scholarship
Through the generosity of donors, a scholarship fund has been established in honor of our group’s founder, Barbara Duerk, to help girls participate in Adventurers activities. Requests may not be more than $100/year, and each application will be considered on a case by case basis. Details, criteria and application for this scholarship fund can be found here . Adventurers is an action-oriented group of older Girl Scouts who are seeking exciting activities to challenge their capabilities, broaden their horizons, and increase their self-confidence. It is for girls age 11-17 and in grades 6-12.
