Join us for a two-day, one-night backpacking experience at Dobie Mountain in the George
Washington National Forest. Participants will hike through
wooded terrain, with plentiful greenstone outcrops, past the remnants
of a small plane that crashed in the 1960's, and spend the night near
an Appalachian Trail shelter. Backpacks, tents, stoves, and other
equipment are provided, making this an economical way to discover the
joys of backpacking.
A mandatory pre-planning session
will be held for any girls that have not backpacked with the
Adventurers before the weekend of Feb. 25 and 26. The exact time and
place will be determined once registration has closed.
