We've heard that the West Coast is the Best Coast so let's find out
as we travel to California in the summer of 2025!
This
trip will include a visit to Yosemite National Park and Disneyland!
Other options for the girls to consider while planning could include a
beach day, Sequoia National Park, King's Canyon, Joshua Tree and the
city of San Francisco. Activities will include hiking, touring,
playing in the West Coast waters, and enjoying local cuisine. Lodging
will consist of vacation rentals, motels, and camping.
After the travel application date closes on December 31, then our
travel group will be chosen. Girls will meet in 2024 to plan the trip
as well as create a method to earn money to cover trip expenses.
Cookie dough as well as individual product program proceeds can be
counted towards a girl's trip expenses (with troop approval). Girls
can also apply for the Adventurers
Scholarship ($100/girl/year).

(will travel via airplane to the state and back; then car between
activity destinations)
Girls' Ages: Cadettes, Seniors and
Ambassadors (must be 13 years old in July 2025)
Cost: $2,000-$2,200 (cost dependent upon activities the girls
choose); after the girl is notified they are chosen, a
non-refundable $200 deposit will be required to hold her spot (which
goes towards your overall trip cost)

Adventurers Scholarship
Through the generosity of donors, a scholarship fund has been
established in honor of our group’s founder, Barbara Duerk, to help
girls participate in Adventurers activities. Requests may not be more
than $100/year, and each application will be considered on a case by
case basis. Details,
criteria and application for this scholarship fund can be found
here . Please submit scholarship applications one week before the

ABOUT THE ADVENTURERS HERE
Adventurers is an
action-oriented group of older Girl Scouts who are seeking exciting
activities to challenge their capabilities, broaden their horizons,
and increase their self-confidence. It is for girls ages 11-17 and in
grades 6-12. Members often participate in rock climbing, caving,
kayaking, backpacking, travel, hiking and other similar high-adventure
