Ways to Give
Cookie Share
Cookie Share is a Girl
Scouts of Virginia Skyline council-wide service project that allows
girls the opportunity to sell virtual "Cookie Share"
packages. Cookie Share cookies are distributed to the military and
local food banks. The council delivers the products to the
organizations directly from the bakery or from one of our warehouses.
This gives customers an alternative to not buying for themselves or
purchasing an extra box to share.

Planned Giving: Juliette Gordon Low
Society
In March of 1912, Juliette Gordon Low
gathered 18 girls in Savannah, GA to begin Girl Scouts. Since then,
Girl Scouts has grown to be the largest organization serving girls in
the United States — more than two million strong. Juliette's
outstanding leadership was matched by her stewardship. She converted
the carriage house of her home into the first Girl Scout national
headquarters, and she gifted the property to Girl Scouts in her will.
Juliette's bequest was the beginning of planned giving to Girl Scouts. In her memory, and on the occasion of our 100th anniversary, we established the national Juliette Gordon Low Society to thank and honor friends of Girl Scouting who, like Juliette, choose to make Girl Scouts part of their legacy and a beneficiary of their estate.
A Lasting Legacy
More than 59 million American women
have enjoyed the excitement and camaraderie of Girl Scouts during
their lifetime — and that number continues to grow as Girl Scouts
continues to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make
the world a better place.
As time goes by, the needs of girls change, and we must change to keep up with them. Today, we are deeply committed to making sure that our Girl Scout Movement is ready to honor the spirit and promise of future generations of Girl Scouts.
Helping us move boldly into the future by including a gift to Girl Scouting in their estate plans is a group of very special people — the members of the Juliette Gordon Low Society.
Benefits of Membership
As a JGL Society member, you will
be invited to attend special recognition and educational events. Other
benefits include a subscription to the Society newsletter, listing as
a society member in select Girl Scout publications, access to digital
resources and a special membership pin.
Sister Societies
Many local Girl Scout councils have
formed sister societies to honor estate intentions. If your gift is
directed to one of these councils, you become a national Juliette
Gordon Low Society member as well as a member of the local society,
and will enjoy the benefits of both.
