The Environmental Science Camporee is a hands-on, nature-focused overnight adventure where Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors can unplug and reconnect with the natural world. Join us for a weekend of curiosity, connection, and environmental growth. Through interactive nature-based activities, meaningful exploration, and time spent in nature, girls will deepen their understanding of environmental science while making new friends and experiencing the joy of outdoor discovery.
Weekend Highlights Include:
- Exploring the trails of Camp Sacajawea on guided hikes,
identifying native trees and plants while searching for signs of
local wildlife.
- The stars will become our
classroom as Girl Scouts explore space through guided astronomy
activities.
Through hands-on planting and creative nature crafts, girls will learn how small actions support a thriving plant.

Supervision Requirements: Not a drop-off event. No tag-a-longs.
Adult Volunteer supervision is required to participate in this event. Guardians/Troop Co-Leaders will be counted in the safety ratio for this event. NO solo adult participants are permitted for this event.
Note:
Outdoor Education is required. One adult per troop must have completed Outdoor Education training by the registration deadline of August 24th, 2025. Trip Permission forms and Health History forms must be completed.
Sleeping Arrangements:
Participants have two options for accommodations:
- Bring your own tent, with
available sites at the Bowen Playing Field or Pavilion Field.
- Alternatively, you may
be assigned to a cabin in Tanglewood Cabins, Pavilion Unit, or
Hideaway, based on the order of registration.
Sleeping assignments will be made in the order of registration.

After registration, a parent/guardian or troop leader can log into their MY GS account to download important forms to be printed prior to this event.

- Next, scroll down to Additional Documentation.
- Click the links to download and print important forms for this event.
Cancelation Policy: If a participant chooses to cancel their registration, refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after August 24th, 2025. All GSVSC-sanctioned events (including council, troop, and service unit events) will be delivered as advertised. If the event is canceled by the Girl Scout organizer(s), registrants will receive a full refund. Please note that events may be canceled if they do not meet the required minimum number of registrants. In such cases, a full refund will also be provided to all registered participants. Decisions regarding the cancellation of programs, events, trips, camps, or trainings due to uncontrollable circumstances are made with the safety of our members as the top priority. These decisions are approved by the CEO and are based on the conditions at the location of the program or event.
