The Skyline Adventurers group is coordinating a Girl Scout Convention 2023 trip to Disney World. The time at Disney will begin on Saturday, July 15, with check-out on Sunday, July 23. Times can be adjusted for those who wish to spend a shorter time at Disney. The 8-day time frame will allow for girls to join in the activities at Phenom 2023 (girl conference at the Girl Scouts of the USA's Convention) which will run from July 20-22.
Participants may be either girls or adults; however, all adults must be registered and have a cleared background check. Girls can attend with their troop or with a parent/guardian. All troop leaders must have appropriate training including GS201 Trips and Overnight Training and basic first-aid. This is a regional trip so girls traveling with their troop must be Juniors or older. Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Lodging will be at a Disney value resort such as the Pop Century. There will be the option of double, triple, or quad occupancy for each room (please refer to Safety Activity Checkpoints for rooming guidelines).
Theme park tickets are available at a discounted rate through the Disney Youth Education Series. For each girl attending, one adult can purchase a ticket at the lower rate. If there are more adults than girls, then there will be an additional charge for each adult ticket. If this is necessary, the cost will first be applied to adults travelling without girl(s).
Participants may attend as individuals (with sponsor/adult/parent) or troops (with appropriate # of leaders/adults). Parent/guardian or leader will need to stay during the program.
