CIT Camp Training
Counselor-in-Training (CIT) is the second course in the camp leadership program. This is a one-time training that allows you to work as a CIT at any GSVSC camp. Additional camp-specific training may be required by each individual camp. This course is required for any girl entering 9th -12th grade and who wishes to volunteer as a staff member at any Virginia Skyline Council camp. During the course, you will learn a variety of outdoor related skills, risk management skills, teaching techniques and leadership skills that will help you thrive in a camp setting. All girls must bring a completed and signed health history (#2072), and parent permission (#2134) to the weekend. Attendance for the entire weekend is required.
