CANCELED - Adventurers Pack'n'Boots: Triple Crown
CANCELED: due to a low signup, this event was canceled. We will try it again this fall. Let us know if you are interested (Jayson Hudson, firstname.lastname@example.org)
Join us for a three-day/two-night backpacking experience hiking the Triple Crown via the Appalachian Trail in the Jefferson National Forest (from Carvins Cove to Catawba). Participants will hike through wonderful wooded terrain that hits a popular trio of incredible vistas: Tinker Cliffs, McAfee Knob (the most photographed spot on the AT), and Dragon's Tooth. Participants will prepare their meals, spend two nights in a back country campsite, and learn Leave No Trace camping principles and skills. This is a good trip for intermediate backpackers, as well as those with more experience.
Backpacks, tents, stoves, and other equipment are provided, making this an economical way to discover the joys of backpacking.
A mandatory pre-planning session will be held the weekend before for any girls that have not backpacked with the Adventurers before.
Participants may attend as individuals only.
