Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL
Ambassador, Cadette, Senior, Junior

POSTPONED: This trip will return in October 2023 for the next Girl Scout convention in Orlando, Florida.

The Skyline Adventurers are coordinating a pre-G.I.R.L. 2020 trip to Disney World for Juniors to Adults. The time at Disney will begin on Saturday, October 17, with check-out on Friday, October 23. Times can be adjusted for those who wish to spend a shorter time at Disney. The 6-day time frame will allow for girls 11+ years old to join in the activities at Girl Scout G.I.R.L. 2020 (takes place Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25). Participants may be either adults or girls; however, all adults must be registered and have a cleared background check. Girls can attend with their troop or with a parent/guardian. All troop leaders must have appropriate training including GS201 Trips and Overnight Training and basic first-aid. All prices include the following:

  • Accommodations
  • Tickets (5-day park hopper pass plus an additional day at a water park)
  • Meals (12 counter service lunches/dinners and 6 breakfasts)
  • Educational Program (girls only); behind the scenes tour at Disney

Lodging will be at a value-priced Disney resort such as Disney’s Pop Century. There will be the option of double, triple, quad or quint occupancy for each room. Tickets are available at a discounted rate through the YES educational program. For each girl attending, one adult can purchase a ticket at the lower rate. If there are more adults than girls, then there will be an additional charge of $172 for each adult ticket. If this is necessary, the cost will first be applied to adults travelling without girl(s). Transportation and G.I.R.L. 2020 registration fees are not included. Adventurers coordinators are able to provide guidance for transportation arrangements and G.I.R.L. 2020 registration. Additional lodging nights are available for Friday and Saturday nights at $192 per night.

Participants may attend as individuals (with sponsor/adult/parent) or troops (with appropriate # of leaders/adults). Parent/guardian or leader will need to stay during the program.

Through the generosity of donors, a scholarship fund has been established in honor of our group’s founder, Barbara Duerk, to help girls participate in Adventurers activities. The fund is of limited availability and each application will be considered on a case by case basis. Details, criteria and application for this scholarship fund can be found here. Please submit scholarship applications one week before the program's registration close date. Have questions? Reach out to this program's coordinator listed here or directly to The Adventurers:
