Ready, Aim, Fire and Throw
Ready, Aim, Fire Series (with axe throwing!): The Flying Rabbit, Mt. Crawford
This event is for girls, beginners and advanced, to learn and reinforce proper shooting habits and to have a background in proper safety techniques away from the range. Emphasis is on empowering girls/women with knowledge & skill of gun safety and how to shoot properly. Axe throwing includes the emphasis on safety, handling and proper throwing skills.
Participants may attend as individuals or with troop with appropriate # of caregivers. Caregiver will need to stay during the program.
Date/Time: Saturday, October 24, 10 AM-3 PM
Location: The Flying Rabbit Sporting Clays, Mt. Crawford
Who: Cadettes, Seniors & Ambassadors; adults (no tag-alongs)
Badge/Patch Included: no; optional Adventurers patch available for $2; optional NEW Adventurers performance t-shirts for $12 (short-sleeve) or $15 (long-sleeve); optional previous t-shirts for $10 (short-sleeve); optional Adventurers bandanna for $5 (please indicate items and sizes on registration).

With each Adventurers event, specific protocols and procedures are put into place to protect all girl and adult participants. Details with regards to preventative health measures will be sent to each participant after registration. Through the generosity of donors, a scholarship fund has been established in honor of our group’s founder, Barbara Duerk, to help girls participate in Adventurers activities. Requests may not be more than $100/year, and each application will be considered on a case by case basis. Details, criteria and application for this scholarship fund can be found here. Adventurers is an action-oriented group of older Girl Scouts who are seeking exciting activities to challenge their capabilities, broaden their horizons, and increase their self-confidence. It is for girls age 11-17 and in grades 6-12. Members often participate in rock climbing, caving, kayaking, backpacking, travel, hiking and other similar high-adventure activities.
