GS 301b Outdoor Education Overnight Session (Weekend Campout): GSVSC Outdoor Education teaches volunteers how to progress their troop’s/group’s activities into the outdoors and develop skills to be used and taught to girls, ensuring a positive, fun and safe outdoor experience. This training is required before troops/groups cookout, campout, and adventure out which includes: packing gear, platform/tent camping, campfires, menu planning and cooking meals outdoors over a campfire, portable stove or grill for any daytime or overnight outdoor camping activity. The GS 301a Planning session is a prerequisite for the GS 301b Overnight session and must be completed by the registration close date of the GS 301b Overnight Session.
Using Girl Scout methods, this GSVSC Outdoor Education course will teach volunteers how to progress their troop’s or group’s activities into the outdoors, develop skills to be used and taught to girls, and ensure a positive, fun, and safe outdoor experience. Participants may attend as individuals only.

- Lessons 1-8 of GS 301a Outdoor Education Online Planning Session (recommended for participants without prior camping experience)
