VIRTUAL – Gold Award Workshop
This is a virtual training. Participants will need access to high speed internet, computer/laptop/tablet and mobile/smartphone to dial into the meeting.
Are you ready to make a difference in the world?
This Gold Award Workshop is required for all Girl Scouts wanting to earn the Gold Award, which is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. This workshop is designed to help guide girls and their advisors through the seven steps to earning the Gold Award -- including how to identify the root cause of an issue, create a sustainable plan to tackle it, submit a project proposal to council for approval, take action and lead a team to carry out the plan, as well as educate and inspire others!
Girls can pursue the Girl Scout Gold Award if:
They're in high school (ninth through twelfth grade, or equivalent)
They're registered as a Girl Scout Senior or Girl Scout Ambassador
They've completed two Senior or Ambassador Journeys OR earned the Girl Scout Silver Award and completed a Senior or Ambassador Journey
Participants are: Senior (S), Ambassador (A), and Adult/advisors
Participation level: Participants may attend as individuals (with advisor or parent) or with troops (with appropriate # of leaders/chaperones). Advisor, parent/guardian or leader will need to stay during the training.
