This is the location for online volutneer trainings hosted by GSVSC. Instructions for any additional materials will be listed with each course, however, should you have questions before signing up please contact Becky Shaffer.
A high-speed connection will yield the best results with these trainings, but it is possible to complete them over a dial-up connection.

Instructions for Taking Basic Troop Leadership - Orientation to Girl Scouting Online Training
- Go to: training.girlscouts.org
- Click on Basic Orientation
- Type in the password “discover”
- Click on login
- Enter your personal information on the learning log. You will be asked to type in your service unit manager’s email address. Instead, type in the following address: bshaffer@gsvsc.org. This will ensure that your information is sent to council headquarters for documentation. Click on continue. The council name is VA Skyline.
- View the course and complete your learning log.
- After completing the course, you will receive a confirmation by email.
