Girl Scout Birthday: March 12
The Girl Scout Birthday on March 12 commemorates the day in 1912 when Juliette Gordon Low officially registered the organization’s first 18 girl members in Savannah, Georgia. This year, 2014, represents our 102nd birthday!

Girl Scout Sunday: March 9
Girl Scout Sabbath: March 15
Girl Scout Sunday and Girl Scout Sabbath give girls an opportunity to attend their place of worship and be recognized as a Girl Scout. If a place of worship is the group sponsor, girls may perform a service, such as greeting, ushering, or doing a flag ceremony. These days can also be a time when girls explore other faiths.

Host a Milk & Cookie Reception to Celebrate Girl Scouts!
After worship service, your troop could host a Girl Scouts Milk & Cookies reception to celebrate Girl Scout Week. Troops donate GS cookies & milk for the reception, and can sell cookies too. Make sure your table also has literature talking about joining or volunteering with Girl Scouts. You can order these materials free via our website. Contact your local church to set the date today.

WIN a Girl Scout tablecloth for your milk and cookies reception!
The 1st troop in each GS community (service unit) to secure a location for a Milk & Cookies reception will win a Girl Scout tablecloth. Contact your GSVSC Membership Manager to confirm reception location and see if you’ve won! 36 GS communities = 36 GS tablecloths = 36 winners!
