Quilting Bee Adventure Overnight (J, C, S, A)

March 22, 2013 @ 5:00 PM – March 24, 2013 @ 3:00 PM
Camp Sacajawea
2124 State Route 794
Lynchburg, VA 24503
$100/girl (all-inclusive)
Adelaide Lee

Girls will complete a lap-sized patchwork quilt. The design is a fun, no-fail design called “Liberty Stars”. As soon as everyone arrives, we will have a show-and-tell and demonstration of the techniques that will be used to make our quilt. Then we will go to a local fabric shop, hopefully have a lesson on fabrics and quilting from a “pro”, and pick out our fabric. Upon returning to Camp Sacajawea, the sewing will begin! Prior sewing experience is not necessary. If the sky is clear, we can do a little outdoor stargazing. We will also watch the movie “How to Make an American Quilt”.

Participants may attend as individuals only.

If you have a sewing machine, rotary cutter (looks like a super sharp pizza cutter), scissors, or cutting mat, let me know!
