Outdoor education gives practical experience in planning and executing a troop overnight camping trip. It is required for volunteers in charge of any activity that involves girls packing gear, planning menus, pitching tents, cooking over a fire/portable stove for an outdoor camping experience or staying overnight at camp. It is an opportunity for adults to learn and practice outdoor skills and safety considerations for outings. Fee includes Outdoor Education planning session and overnight. This course should be updated every six years. These courses can be taken in different locations throughout the council so please register separately for each one. Participants will need a pocket knife, Training Record Card, completed Health History Form (#2072) and a copy of Outdoor Education in Girl Scouting.
