This is a 7-mile NOVICE trip on the James River from Buchanan to Arcadia. Experienced parents are welcome to participate pending availability of equipment.
RESERVE SPACE: Reservations will be acknowledged after a program registration forms and payment are received. Payment to hold your place should be by check and made payable to Adventurers group #1912. All checks will be held until after the event. Persons not attending the event will be charged unless their space is taken by another person.
PROCESS: The names of all participants, girl/adult health history form, and parent swim skill certificate(with lifejacket size) need to be received by the deadline date.
1. Reserve space by mailing a check for $15 per participant payable to Adventurers #1912. Send to the event registrar: Debbie Clark, 6661 Christopher Dr., Roanoke, VA 24018. 276-692-7250. firstname.lastname@example.org. You may indicate boat preference – every attempt will be made to accommodate your choice – but final decision on boats rests with event leaders.
2. Send form #2680 program registration (signed) to the event registrar.
3. Send Parent Swim Skill Certification signed by parent or adult participant to the event registrar. Include LIFE JACKET SIZE/participants approximate weight.
4. Send form #2072 Girl/Adult Health History signed by parent or adult to the event registrar.
Static forms can be filled out online, saved, printed, hand signature signed, scanned or SAVED and attached to an e-mail. You may prefer to mail the forms with payment to the event registrar.
Confirmation and final event information will be sent via e-mail AFTER the deadline date. Participants will be sent a TO BRING list which will include appropriate clothing and gear. The Adventurers practice Leave No Trace. This event will follow the Girl Scout promise and law. River shoes must be closed toe and secure to foot.
If you do not have an e-mail address, please ask someone to receive the confirmation information for you via email. If the trip is postponed or cancelled, money will be refunded, or may be put towards a future Float Your Boat event.
