Join the Adventurers for monthly paddling adventures on rivers located in our council, usually 4–6 hours in duration, with emphasis on water safety and improving paddling skills on moving water. Led by Adventurer Coordinators with canoe and kayak experience. We provide all the necessary equipment. Experience level required will be determined for each float, and advertised as very basic flat water floats, requiring nothing more than swimming ability and comfort on the water; or medium, requiring novice skills with ability to control the boat and faster moving water but not overly tricky. We will also try to provide some more difficult floats where you will need to be able to control your boat in moving water.
More Float Your Boat dates TBA; visit GSVSC Adventurers for additional upcoming dates and locations. Camps and troops may request dates for boating programs. Specific locations and dates (June–Oct.) may also be requested for consideration, contingent upon availability of qualified leaders.
Participants may attend as individuals or troops.
