Monthly paddling adventures on rivers located in our council, usually 3–4 hours in duration, with emphasis on water safety and improving paddling skills on moving water. Each float is led by Adventurers Coordinators with canoe and kayak experience, and all necessary equipment is provided.
Required experience level will be determined for each float, and advertised as such — some will be very basic flatwater floats, requiring nothing more than swimming ability and comfort on the water. Others will be more difficult – medium, requiring novice skills with ability to control the boat, and faster-moving water but not overly tricky. We will also try to provide some more difficult floats where you will need to be able to control your boat in moving water.
Participants may attend as individuals or troops.
