Do you enjoy exploring nature, hiking, cooking on a stick, eating s’mores, singing silly songs, making crafts and best of all making new friends? Then join us at Icimani Adventure Center for Dark Hollow Day Camp – Friends, Fun, Freezy Pops. We will even have time to play games, plan skits and enjoy a special campfire and to cool us down – our famous Freezy Pops!


Discover why Dark Hollow Camp is our special place! We will enjoy our creek, trails and special programs. We will beat the summer heat as we splash and play at our Wet and Wild water day! All campers will spend the night June 27th. Campers in grades 2-6 can earn a special camp patch if they participate in prescribed activities at camp. June 17-21 and June 24-28, 2013 (10 days); 9 AM – 4 PM daily


June 27th for all girls (grades 2 – 6).


Campers’ Ages
Girls in grades 2–11 in the 2012–13 school year may attend as campers.


Adventure Unit
Adventure Caravan (grades 6 and up) is a two week program that runs the duration of camp (June 17–21 and June 24–28). Have fun doing something different and adventurous. You might explore a cave, go canoeing, take a bike outing, spend the night away from camp, or go on an extended hike. Experienced instructors will help you learn; your efforts can be applied to earning an Interest Project patch or a special camp patch. Campers participating in Adventure Caravan might have some activities that involve returning to Icimani Adventure Center later than 4:00 p.m. Limit: 8 girls.


Camp Leadership Programs
Camp Program Assistant (CPA) (grades 7 and up)
This program is for girls who want to help younger campers. CPA’s assist leaders in carrying out camp program in the units and help with all-camp activities and projects. An orientation for all girls accepted in this program will be given on May 11, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Icimani Adventure Center. Application must be made before registering for this program. Space is very limited.


Counselor-in-Training (CIT) (grades 8 and up) (formerly known as Counselor Apprentice) To be a CIT, girls must: (1) apply for and complete the council CIT course (to be held on March 8-10, 2013 at Icimani); (2) register for camp and attend the camp staff planning session May 4, 2013 at Icimani Adventure Center; and (3) give service at camp.


Counselor-in-Training II (CIT II) (grades 10 and up, and have served at a GSVSC summer camp as a CIT)(formerly known as Junior Counselor) Girls can apply to be a Counselor-in-Training II if they have previous camp leadership experience. They must register for camp and attend the camp staff planning session May 4, 2013 at Icimani Adventure Center.

Register by June 1st to receive a free camp t-shirt. Please indicate size on registration form.
$155 Camp fee for grades 2–6, regular camp program ($135 before May 1)
$185 Camp fee for Adventure Caravan ($165 before May 1)
$45 Camp fee for CPA/CIT leadership program ($25 before May 1)
$25 Camp fee for CIT IIs ($5 before May 1)
$12 Membership Fee for non-Girl Scouts


Register by May 1, 2013 for a $20 camp fee discount.
Scholarship Applications Due: June 1, 2013


Parents/guardians are responsible for their daughters’ transportation to and from camp. Parents are encouraged to form carpools with other campers in the area or with their troop.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
$20 of the camp fee is non-refundable. Refunds are made only when a request is made in writing by the parents and received by the Camp Director no later than one week before the start of camp.


Girls will need to bring their own lunches and drinks each day.
