This event has been postponed due to low registration numbers. We want to provide the best experience possible for participants and part of this is making sure that enough girls attend to enable meaningful discussion and collaboration. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The event will be moved to a date to be determined in the spring. We hope that you will be able to join us!

In celebration of International Day of the Girl, girls of all ages will explore the barriers to education experienced by girls their age across the globe through a series of games, activities, and a special screening of two chapters of the 2013 film, Girl Rising. In true Girl Scout fashion, we will be participating in a Take Action project by hosting a book drive for Books for Africa.

By attending this event and taking action, girls will qualify for the Global Action Award. Girls should bring books to the event that comply with BFA's requirements found here. Stay tuned for more information to come!

Participants may attend as individuals (with sponsor/adult/parent) or troops (with appropriate # of leaders/adults).
