Join other Cadette, Senior & Ambassador Girl Scouts for a roundup of magnificent proportions! All your favorite outdoor fun like kayaking, hiking, and geocaching along with fabulous indoor fun like roller skating, painting, and music!

Ends: May 7, Sunday, 12 PM

Cost: $55 per girl/adult (includes patch, Saturday dinner, camping fee, facility fee, skating and skate rentals, and most program activities; some programs require an additional fee).
Accommodations: field camping in tents with port-a-jills and hand-washing stations

Archery (90 min) – Learn the basics of the sport and test your skill as you aim for the bull’s-eye.
Crafts for a Cause (90 min) – Create some crafts for donation to Operation Smile- make a sock puppet, make a smile doll, or make a blanket.
Canoeing on the James (all day)– Paddle 9 miles down the James River in a canoe or kayak from Alpine to Natural Bridge Station. The group will be on the river for 4-5 hours. ($12 Extra Fee)
Devil’s Marble Yard Hike & Climb (4-5 hours) – Hike to this fascinating geological formation. This is an in and out hike on the same trail for a total of 2.5 miles.
Dolls (3 hours) – Take a closer look at the world of dolls and make a few of your own to take home.
Geocaching (3 hours) – Explore the southern portion of Rockbridge County as you search with your GPS units for the hidden treasures that are part of the Gems of Rockbridge Trail.
Horseback TRAIL Riding (3 hours) – Travel to a local stable and take a 1 hour trail ride. ($25 Extra Fee)
Horseback RING Riding (3 hours) – Travel to a local stable and learn more about horses and then participate in a 30 minute lesson in the ring. ($15 Extra Fee)
Hike to John’s Hollow Shelter on Appalachian Trail (4-5 hours) – Hike along the Appalachian Trail north of the James River to this shelter beside a stream. This is an in and out hike on the same trail for a total of 3.8 miles.
Hike to Matt’s Creek Shelter on Appalachian Trail (4-5 hours) – Hike along the Appalachian Trail south of the James River to this shelter along a small stream. This is an in and out hike on the same trail for a total of 4 miles.
Kundalini Yoga: Yoga with Soul (90 minutes) – Spend part of your morning becoming more in tune with yourself and your body.
Outdoor Cooking (3 hours) – Spend the morning fixing a Mexican-themed meal to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
Painting (90 minutes) – Spend some time learning some new painting skills.
Recycled Crafts (90 minutes) – Make some jewelry, a change purse and some other crafts from items that would usually be thrown away.
The Simplest Answer (90 minutes) – Being happy: learn how to bring your most joyful, creative and inclusive self to the world in every moment.
Tie-Dye (90 minutes) – Take a t-shirt and transform it into a work of art.
