Wonders of Water at Carvins Cove
Cover all of the requirements for the Love Water badge, and start your girls on a fabulous journey! Visit the reservoir at Carvins Cove and take a tour of the Carvins Cove Water Treatment Facility. (A video of the treatment facility may be shown in place of the tour in the case of on-site construction.)

Girl Scout troops are encouraged to continue to use the Western Virginia Water Authority as a resource as they complete their Water Journey.
Plan to pack a lunch and a water bottle. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather and bring/wear sunscreen.
Participants may attend as individuals with a guardian/parent/adult or with troops that provide the appropriate number of leaders and adult chaperones needed to meet the girl-to-adult ratios for their age-level. Guardian/parent/adult chaperones and troop leaders are required to stay during the entire program.

Tag-Along Fee: free (please note that children under the Brownie age-level (younger than 7 years old) are not permitted in the Carvins Cove Water Treatment Facility)

Patch/Badge Included: yes, troop leaders can notify WVWA when the troop has completed the entire journey; then WVWA will deliver the Wonders of Water Journey badges.
