The Local Colors Festival highlights the ethnic and cultural diversity of the Roanoke Valley. The Local Colors Festival is on Saturday, May 18. It is a free event; no charge. There are three different ways that Girl Scout troops can participate:

> Just ATTEND this marvelous multi-cultural festival! Grab a festival patch for $1 at the Girl Scout display table located in the children’s activities area. You can also pickup a FREE passport to travel around our festival world. 

> VOLUNTEER at children’s activities area (helping little ones with arts, crafts & games); 2-hour shifts (10:30 AM-5:30 PM); free patch & fun gift for one 2-hour shift. 

> MARCH in the Parade of Nation/Presentation of Nations representing the World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts (10:50 AM-11:30 AM); free patch for marchers (girls only; adults may purchase for $1).
