This awareness program will teach the girls that even if you have a disbility you can not let it stop you; if you do have a disability, you have help and people to support you. We will watch the movie Temple GrandinTemple Grandin is a 2010 American biographical drama film directed by Mick Jackson and starring Claire Danes as Temple Grandin, an autistic woman who revolutionized practices for the humane handling of livestock on cattle ranches and slaughterhouses. This movie won 10+ awards from the Emmy Awards to Golden Globes. A discussion will take place after the movie (hopefully Temple Grandin, herself, will be able to live video chat with the girls). Popcorn and drinks will be served.

Participants may attend as individuals with a guardian/parent/adult or with troops that provide the appropriate number of leaders and adult chaperones needed to meet the girl-to-adult ratios for their age-level. Guardian/parent/adult chaperones and troop leaders are required to stay during the entire program.
