Have fun watching the Salem Red Sox take on the Down East Wood Ducks from box seating and enjoy a campout with popcorn and a movie on the field after the game! Ticket price of $18 includes pre-game activities, kid-friendly lunch, game ticket, campout on the field, and continental breakfast in the morning.
Participants may attend as individuals with a guardian/parent/adult or with troops that provide the appropriate number of leaders and adult chaperones needed to meet the girl-to-adult ratios for their age-level. Guardian/parent/adult chaperones and troop leaders are required to stay during the entire program.
CAMPOUT ON THE FIELD
All adult campers are to be registered GS members and have a cleared background check on file with GSVSC prior to camping overnight at this event. Outdoor Education is not required for stadium camping as long as participants are not cooking outdoors. There will be two camping areas for the stadium overnight.
Family Camping Area
This area is for families that will be camping as one unit. Girls or tag-a-longs are not allowed to camp with other units that are not their own family unit.
Troop Camping Area
Girl members camp with their troop and troop leaders and/or approved troop chaperones. Sleeping arrangements are to be as follows:
- Girls and adults do not share a sleeping bag; with the exception of mothers and daughters.
- It is not mandatory that an adult sleep in the sleeping area (tent) with the girls, but if an adult female does share the sleeping area, there are be two unrelated adult females present.
When male volunteers are part of a troop/group activity, they are not permitted to sleep in the same space as girl members. Men may participate when separate sleeping quarters and bathrooms are available for their use. Men volunteers will camp in the Family Camping Area. In this case, men do not supervise girls in the sleeping area of the event, and the adult-volunteer-to-girl ratio is adjusted accordingly.
Adult Summit will include Service Unit Roundtables, parent info sessions, and leader trainings to learn more about what to expect in the next year of Girl Scouting!
