Float Your Boat Series 2019: Rivanna River
Monthly canoe or kayak paddling trips on local rivers. No experience necessary for most floats. Led by paddle-experienced Girl Scout leaders with the Adventurers program.
Date: you can pick from two dates: Saturday, May 18, or Sunday, May 19
Time: 10 AM - 4 PM (may fluctuate slightly)
Location: Rivanna River in Charlottesville (Darden Towe Park to Milton Landing)
Girl Fee: $35
Adult Fee: $35 (if space available)
Patch Included: No; Adventurers patch available for $2, Adventurers bandanna $5, Adventurers t-shirts $12 (please indicate size on registration)

NOTE: Adults will only be accepted if spaces available are not filled by girls, and only with paddling experience. All participants must be able to swim. Please let us know on registration if you will be bringing your own boat and PFD; this is encouraged if you are more comfortable in your own gear. PLEASE INDICATE ON REGISTRATION FORM WHICH DAY OR DAYS YOU ARE AVAILABLE. Flexibility is appreciated!

Adventurers is an action-oriented group of older Girl Scouts who are seeking exciting activities to challenge their capabilities, broaden their horizons, and increase their self-confidence. It is for girls age 11-17 and in grades 6-12. Members often participate in rock climbing, caving, kayaking, backpacking, travel, hiking and other similar high-adventure activities.
