Land of Fire & Ice - Iceland Trip
July 19-24: a six day camp at the northernmost national Scout Center in the world!
A group of girls and chaperones will spend six days at a scout camp in southern Iceland. Accommodations will be in tents, but there are no poisonous snakes, no venomous insects and no mosquitoes. The first three days will be spent on-site with many activity options: paddling, archery, fishing, hiking, soccer, obstacle course challenges, climbing and other challenges. The next 3 days are spent off-site with many options which will be selected by the group: river rafting, horseback riding, caving, hot spring bathing, glacier hikes, canoeing and other adventures. The group may elect to spend one to three extra days exploring the country.
AGES: girls must be 13 to 18 years of age at the time of the trip. All travelers should have some travel experience and be willing to try some new adventures. All group members should be in good physical condition.
COST: the trip will be approximately $1,700 with the final cost determined by the length of trip chosen by the group and the activities in which they choose to participate.
APPLICATION: all girls who are interested should complete the Adventurers Adventure Application (#2443). Please list two references on your form, but do not ask them to complete any paperwork.
