Adventures in Virginia State Parks: Mason Neck State Park
10-11 AM: Live Beavers, Like Humans
Join a ranger-led short hike down the Bay View Trail to the marsh to meet Mason Neck's engineering family of beavers. Learn how they live and why they like to build dams and lodges. In the process, you might see how beavers are like us. We will geocache as well.
11:30 AM-12:30 PM: Lunch
Choice of black bean soup or chicken and rice with rolls. Bring your own drink and snacks.
Did you know that Mason Neck State Park has quite a few geocaches hidden around the trails? But what is geocaching, you might ask? It is a worldwide, outdoor, family-fun activity in which participants use GPS units to locate secret containers called caches or geocaches
