Leesylvania State Park: Historical Hike
Join the Adventurers for a historical hike on the Lees Woods Trail. It is a 1.8 mile loop trail that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. This is a historic interpretive trail with both Revolutionary and Civil War points of interest. The park service provides guide books at the trail head that will lead us along the trail and give brief explanations of each site. There have been sightings of several bald eagles from the river overlook at the top of the hill. The hike features a small Civil War fort and era homes with lineage to Robert E. Lee. This fort participated in the Civil War, getting shots off at a passing gun boat.

Participants may attend as individuals and troops.
