A String of Pearls
In order that GSVSC show appreciation to our members for all of the hard work that they put into the cookie sale every year, we are offering an Awards Program for sale achievements in several different categories. Following in the steps of Juliette Low - Juliette Low was so dedicated to this group of Girl Scouts that she sold a strand of rare matched pearls for $8,000 to pay for operations in the beginning. We started our very own "String of Pearls" by giving the first certificates of membership to the 2005 cookie sale 1000+ sellers. This included all of the girls that sold 1,000 boxes or more of cookies in the 2005 sale. The members of our "String of Pearls" also received a single pearl on a necklace signifying the String of Pearls that Juliette used to help fund the beginning of Girl Scouting.
