A String of Pearls
'Juliette Low was so dedicated to this group of Girl Scouts that she sold her strand of rare matched pearls to pay for operations in the beginning. '
In 2006, we started our very own "String of Pearls" by giving charter member certificates and pearls to the 2005 cookie sale 1000+ box sellers. Today, all 1,000+ box cookie sellers receive membership certificates for our "String of Pearls" and each receives a pearl signifying the pearls that Juliette Low used to help fund the beginning of Girl Scouting.
We display each of our 'String of Pearl' members on personalized engraved brass plaques on the wall of our lobby in the Roanoke GS Office.
