Art Camp
The League of Roanoke Artists have joined us again to offer an artistic journey. Girls will create their very own masterpieces from start to finish. Colorful collages will be made! Sunday morning will bring a lesson in t-shirt art and the day will end with the girls setting up a gallery for their families to view the wonderful creations of the weekend.

Campers’ Ages
Girls who have completed grades 4-8 in the 2008-2009 school year.
Leadership opportunities:
Counselor Apprentices
Girls who completed grade 8 or above in the 2008-09 school year may serve as Counselor Apprentices if they have completed the required council training course. (See page 4 for more information.) We would like for you to have served at least one year as a Camp Program Assistant before serving as a CA. This experience may have been obtained at any of the council’s other summer camps in the past years.
Junior Counselors
Girls ages 16-18 who completed grade 10 or above in the 2008-09 school year may serve as Junior Counselors. You will be required to attend the camp staff training session and any other sessions required by the program manager. We would like for Junior Counselors to have served previously as CAs.
Overnight?
Girls will spend the night inside the multipurpose building at the adventure center and will have access to hot showers and flush toilets. Sleeping bags/bedrolls and personal items are your responsibility.
Cost
$55 Camp fee
Fee includes art supplies, meals and a patch.
Deadlines
Camp registration: July 17
Scholarship application: July 17
Transportation
Parents/guardians are responsible for their daughters’ transportation to and from camp.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
$20 of the camp fee is nonrefundable. Refunds are made only when a request is submitted in writing by the parent/guardian and received by the camp registrar no later than two weeks prior to the start of camp.
