Carter Mountain Orchard presents Apple Pickin’ Fun! We would like to provide both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts with a fun and educational event. Everyone will have the opportunity to experience a working farm and the life of a apple, including: timeline for the farm, orchard jobs and equipment, the life cycle of the apple and plants, and the importance of honey bees. To make the day especially fun, participants will be taken on a hayride and will get to pick a bag of apples to take home! Each scout will obtain an event patch upon completion of the worksheet and survey, which will be provided upon arrival. Bring a picnic lunch and extra money for ice cream, cookies, or pie.
