Girl Scouts Making History Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

The Archives Group was organized in 1987. Our purpose is to collect and preserve Girl Scout uniforms, handbooks, and other memorabilia. Our main focus is to record the history of the council and create programs for girls and adults which develop an appreciation for Girl Scouting's place in it.

We are a group of adults that love history and Girl Scouting, we are enthused about the past, the present and the future. Our dream for the future is to someday have a History Museum/Program Center to better share our council's rich history. We periodically attend training sessions so that we may have the skills to be stewards of the historical collection.

The historical collection would not exist without generous donations of Girl Scout memorabilia. You may have items you would like to contribute to the collection. If you are a history buff, consider donating some time to the work of the archives. You can help with a short-term project or become a member of the Archives Group. We accept donations to care for and preserve the council collection of uniforms, books, insignia and council history.
