Spend the night in the fun-filled outdoors! Learn how to observe the solar system through equipment designed for professional stargazing! We will set up camp upon arrival and have stations set up to fish, canoe, hike, and play games until dinner. We will demonstrate outdoor camp skills including: fire building, meal preparation, and s’mores! If you love the outdoors, or would like to explore and learn how, then this is the perfect overnight experience for you! Join us at Staunton River State Park to see constellations in one of the best observing spots along the East Coast! A comet is expected to pass through on this weekend too!
Participants may attend as individuals (with sponsor/adult/parent) or troops (with appropriate number of leaders/adults). Parent/guardian or leader will need to stay during the program.
