Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors (girls who will be entering the 6th grade in 2011-2012 may attend, but an adult must attend with them): come explore Savannah, Georgia, the birthplace of Girl Scouting, as we travel by charter bus for a four-night, five-day trip. Enjoy two full days seeing the sites in Savannah. One place we will visit is the Juliette Low Birthplace, where we will enjoy a tour of the house and a special-interest session titled, “Spanning the Decades.” Girls in grades 10-12 will have the option of participating in a Victorian Supper while at the Juliette Low Birthplace. We will also visit the first headquarters, Laurel Grove Cemetery — the final resting place of Juliette Low — and much, much more. We will also travel to Tybee Island, where we will visit the Tybee Island lighthouse and Marine Science Center. At the center, girls will earn the Coastal Georgia Badge, take a dolphin tour, and more. This is a trip you won’t want to miss. What a better way to celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting by visiting the place where it all began!
Fee includes bus, meals, hotel (4 girls per room), activity fees, birthplace pin and patch, and tips. A non-refundable deposit of $100 per person is due with registration.
