Next Stop, Hollywood!

Spend a week experiencing the glitz and glam of Hollywood.  Campers will participate in game show competitions, compete in reality competitions such as The Amazing Race, add their own stars to the Walk-of-Fame, and on Thursday night have a special movie-viewing party.  Throughout the week, the campers will work on designing a set, writing a script, directing, and starring in their own movies.  Come bring your talents to Hollywood (45 girls min./120 girls max.)!

Monday-Friday, June 18-22
8 AM – 5:30 PM

 

Overnight? 
Thursday night is an optional overnight for girls who have completed grade 2 and up.  Thursday night’s dinner as well as Friday’s breakfast and lunch will be provided.  Girls who do not stay overnight can be picked up Thursday afternoon and dropped off Friday morning at the regular times.

 

Campers’ Ages
Girls at all Girl Scout age levels may attend as campers.  Girls who have completed grade 8 or above may apply to be Counselor Apprentices.  CAs must complete a CA application and attend CA training.  Please check the council website at www.gsvsc.org for available CA training dates.

 

Cost
$100   Camp Fee — days only
$125   Camp Fee — with Thursday overnight
$50     Camp Fee for Counselor Apprentices
$12     Membership Fee for non-Girl Scouts

 

Deadlines
Camp Registration Opens:            February 15, 2012
Camp Registration Closes:          June 4, 2012
Scholarship Applications Due:     June 4, 2012

 

Transportation
Parents/guardians are responsible for their daughters’ transportation to and from camp. Carpooling is encouraged.

GSVSC Cancellation Policy applies to this camp.

 

Please Note
Girls should bring a bag lunch each day, as well as a water bottle, sunscreen/bug spray and water shoes.  Parents may wish to send a spare set of clothes in a labeled bag to leave at camp for the week.  Weather permitting, we will go wading in the creek each afternoon.
